Bob takes a bite . . .

It continues to amaze: The more you know - the more you don't.

While looking around for something Dylan/Apple related, it came as something of a surprise to discover Bob sued Apple back in 1994 for name-copyright infringement after Apple branded a computer language they were developing as Dylan (dynamic language or similar). Read about it here. Surprise because Apple then turned around and used Dylan's image (below right) among many other famous personages for their Think Different advertising campaign in 1997.

Now, in their wisdom, Apple have launched a new video campaign, with Dylan as their spearhead, selling the iPod. The clip is from Someday Baby, a song off Bob's brand new, week-old album, Modern Times.

The images below are some stills taken from the video (artistic licence unashamedly abused!).

Talking about Dylan, I insist you go over to the Mule's blog to learn about when she's on Radio National's The Music Show today (Saturday) at 10 am - repeated 8pm - as part of a forum discussing Modern Times and a couple of new Dylan-related books . You'll also find a few Sydney country music-related happenings in her gig guide. One other gig I know of this weekend is The Detonators at the Empire at Annandale on Sunday evening for a $12 entry.
